Dr. Oscar Suarez is dedicated to excellence and committed to providing personalized care. By establishing a strong doctor-patient relationship with open channels of communication, Dr. Suarez is able to fully appreciate a patient's goals and motivations critical to tailoring the appropriate treatment plan.
Dr. Suarez received his undergraduate degree of general medicine from The University of Costa Rica, thereafter doing 1 year of social service as the Costa Rican laws requires. Immediately he studied General Surgery also in this university; during his last year in training, he fulfill the position of Chief of Residents and Interns, and later worked as General Surgeon before continuing his studies.

His Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialization was done in the Jalisco Institute of Plastic Surgery in México, under the direct supervision of world renowned Plastic Surgeon Dr. José Guerrero-Santos, and graduated with one of the best grades of his generation.
At present time, he has his practice in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery in Hospital Cima San Jose. Dr. Suarez belongs to the Colegio de Medicos y Cirujanos de Costa Rica, and he is member of the Asociacion de Cirugia Plastica, Reconstructiva y Estetica de Costa Rica, The Ibero Latin-American Federation of Plastic Surgery ( FILAC) and the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery( IPRASS).

The Dr. continues to update his skills and knowledge by attending to at least 3 seminars a year mainly in the USA specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also shares his knowledge and abilities with his colleges by periodical seminars done in Hospital San Jose Cima.
He is happily married with Cristina Escalante and they have procreated two beautiful girls, Maria Fernanda and Maria Jose. They enjoy their family life in the tranquil mountains of Heredia, surrounded by the greens and flowers of this area.
